April has been a bit of a ‘meh’ month. The house works were in th3 main finished and I now need to make curtains and hubby needs to put up poles. Other than that my brain has been incredibly sluggish and my physical health minimal. I think I’m on my 4th COVID infection, and I’m so careful too, I don’t go out lots. So lots of resting, which bores me intensely and it doesn’t get those curtains made.
Irrelevant frippery by the cleaner last week. So not my style. They will be asked to not do that again.
Dead daffodils. My husband is great at buying me daffodils when they come into the shops. Our garden this year was very bare, I will need to plant lots of bulbs for next year.
Greebo giving me side eye. He has kept me company quiet a bit.
A field of bluebells.
Bluebells and ferns.
More of the bluebell woods (I didn’t get out much). l saw this section of fencing was all on its own without having a functional job.
My bedroom view. We have recently removed the curtains the previous owners left behind. They were fine, but the curtain pole was really thick and it was impossible to draw them properly. I will eventually get around to making more curtains and put them on a nicer pole.
The living room view.
When we were buying this house nearly a year ago, I insisted it had to have a view. Our previous house did and as someone with limited energy I found being able to look out of the window at the view essential for my mental health as I couldn’t walk to find one. We were lucky with this house. And I am fully aware of my privilege in being able to make this a prerequisite for purchase.
So that’s it for this month. Let’s see what next month brings.
If you have enjoyed my ramblings I’d love for you to click the ❤️. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know there’s something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.
I feel and share your mood! Resting a lot gets old pretty quickly. The bluebells are wonderful. I love how (in our yard) they just appear and spreads
What a wonderful view!
