Is it Worth it? Part 2 - The Answer is Still Yes.
Worth it. But expensive. A quick update.

Hello Cabbage Heads
How is the world with my fellow chronics? For the new people I have ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis) often know as CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) a mane I disagree with and dislike greatly as it doesn’t encompass in any way all that ME is. I include it purely as that’s what a lot of people know. I’ve been living with this disease for 15+ years and I’ve tried an awful lot of things, to help, 99% of which haven’t.
This is a quick update for those that were interested on my test drive of the featured below electric wheelchair for going on rambles with. The Robooter e60 pro. It’s snazzy looking, sleek and not an old ladies wheelchair (though a lot of us older ones buy it apparently).
It’s a cracking chair. Comfortable and I pushed right to its limits, climbing slopes even the nice man who brought it out for me to test didn’t think it would manage. We took it up to the moor 5 mins away from us, and I spent a good 35 mins whizzing about. I bottomed it out driving over a bunch of rocks I should have sensibly avoided but decided to test it, it failed but very unsurprisingly. I took it over gravel and then up a quite intense incline where it managed some steep natural stone steps from a standstill. Coming back down the slope was easy. And I was impressed. but …. it’s not quite good enough. The turning circle is HUGE. It needs manual brakes too, not just letting go of the joystick to stop propulsion. So where does this leave me?
Well broke by the looks of it. I’ve been investigating much more robust and therefore more expensive ones. And by more expensive I mean 3 times the price. 😳💷💷💷.
So off to the internet research. Now I’ve just remembered I said this was a quick update, so I’m going to stop waffling, and leave it here for now, and come back with more insights in a different post.
Conclusion - very good but not for me; the search continues.
Till next time.
If you have enjoyed my ramblings I’d love for you to click the ❤️. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know there’s something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.
I'm so glad you're trying them out. I tend to grab the first thing out of anxiety; I think it's a really good idea to wait and see what else is out there.
Thanks for sharing your experience. If you test out any more powerchairs I hope you'll write about those too.
