(I have been using patterns by Claire Garland from Dot Pebbles Knit for most of these little animals. She has a fab Instagram account. Shoes are sadly not made by me but from various sellers.)
Hello Knitting Cabbage Heads,
(I write up the story of these froglets because their stories happen mainly over on Notes, and I know some people only see emails not Notes)
This is the story of a little dusky pink frog who was tenacious in her attempts to be the next one chosen from the froglet Pool of Life and to live life amongst the Knitted Ones. One of the first to be birthed (she is in the centre 3rd back behind Darcey (purple) and Florian (darker dusky pink) and beneath Sunflower and Madeleine (the two yellow ones).
She waited patiently as others were chosen before her and watched the Pool of Life dwindle. She is hiding at the far right back there.
More froglets were birthed and made it to Knitted One status and she began to realise she would need to be a little more forward and show me she needed to be next. She worked her way towards the front and whispered that she already knew her name and passion, so please?
I did manage to get her legs fairly soon after and stood her on the Knitted Ones shelf for her first photograph. The boots were temporary as she was quite sure about them.
She already had a home lined up at this point with someone who wanted a pink froglet. She was getting rather excited about it. I took her on her first long distance journey to Scotland as a warm up for international travel. She was very enthusiastic about getting outside and as soon as she had arms she was off, before I even trimmed those long ends. The view stunned her and kept her still long enough to snip those stragglers

She went for a short wander outside the apartment lapping up the verdant green, and the sunshine and warmth. It took a little while to encourage her back inside. But I was knitting another One and company was enjoyed.

Before we left Scotland she had one more outside adventure with the new Knitted One (as yet unnamed) and we braved the midges at dusk (sort of wish we hadn’t as I got some very itchy bites) and went to see the stag statue near the loch. They sat on his nose to enjoy the best views.

Once home after another long journey Isabella told me that she loved baking and had named herself after Mrs Beeton, the famous Victorian homemaker/cook. We began to consider what clothes she would like and after a small fashion show she decided the lilac was more suited to baking.

After a brief photo session she was anxious to get on with her journey to exotic Finland. She bid goodbye to the green frog now called Judit (after a grandmaster chess champion) and promised to keep in touch.

I hope she is very happy in her new home and bakes many a goodie for her adopteee.
And so that’s all folks. Till next time, Tx
Froglets🐸, other animals🐇🦊🦡🐭🐘🦏🦎🦥🦧etc, and other miniatures are (or will be) available from me on here (message me). They are considered collectibles, are unsuitable for under 14s due to the wires, are not CE/UKCA tested (collectibles do not need to be), and are therefore priced as such. Also contact me here if you fancy something you see or don’t see, I’m open to suggestions. I do have ME/CFS and making and photographing them etc all takes a lot of energy and is a very slow process. I do knit to order too, but be aware a froglet with a jumper takes up to a week for me to make on average. The smaller they are the longer they take as they are more intricate and fiddly. Thank you muchly.
If you have enjoyed my ramblings I’d love for you to click the ❤️. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know there’s something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.

Ooooo!!! I’m excited to meet her!
I love your ramblings. Happy baking, Isabella.
