Dear Knitting Cabbage Heads,
After making a couple of Long Rabbits, I turned my attention again to the few very, very patient froglets still left in the Frog Pool of Life. They have all waited a long time for birthing as I most of my tadpoles way back in February, so a good 10 months ago.
One particular little one pushed itself to the front and begged to be begun. They had born the dwindlance of the Pool with stoicism watching other being knitted first. Until eventually I picked them. See if you can pick him out in the groups photos.

Look how pleased and eager they are with arms. Legs were next, and boy, this little one didnโt disappoint. โMercury,โ he whispered, โmy name is Mercury and I love to sing and entertainโ.
This was how I found him one morning after heโd raided the shoe box. What a pose!
I fashioned some sparkly shorts for him out of Xmas twine, and we tried out some different shoes. I have to say Iโm pleased I got his shadow in too. He does love that pose.
Next he wanted a string vest, well yes I could do that, didnโt factor in colour - lol. So,it looks good at the back and fades into obscurity on his cream front. He tried on a couple more shoes and took his choice of guitar.

Next he asked for a yellow jacket, like his iconic hero. Now working in miniature is tricky so I did the best I could. I think he likes it anyway. He settled for the white sneakers and the brown guitar (the purple just clashed a bit too much)

So, Iโm pleased to present Mercury, the born entertainer.
So thatโs all folks. Till next time, Tx

Froglets๐ธ, other animals๐๐ฆ๐ฆก๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆฅ๐ฆงetc, and other miniatures are (or will be) available from me on here (message me). You can also find them at My Website. They are considered collectibles, are unsuitable for under 14s due to the wires , are not CE/UKCA tested (collectibles do not need to be), and are therefore priced as such. Also contact me here if you fancy something you see or donโt see, Iโm always open to suggestions. I do have ME/CFS and making and photographing them etc all takes a lot of energy and is a very slow process. I do knit to order too, but be aware a froglet with a jumper takes up to a week for me to make on average. The smaller they are the longer they take as they are more intricate and fiddly. Thank you muchly.
If you have enjoyed my ramblings Iโd love for you to click the โค๏ธ. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know thereโs something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad ๐. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more ๐ A comment of what you liked, what you didnโt etc would be most gratefully appreciated.

Terrific, Tamsin! An old, old song came to mind: โIโve got mercury poisoning.โ Then everything clicked for me. None other than Freddie Mercury! The likeness couldnโt have been stronger if you had tried! ๐ซถ๐ฝ
