Hello Knitting Cabbage Heads,
(I write up the story of these froglets in long form because their stories happen mainly over on Notes, and I know some people only see emails not Notes)
Whilst there were secret projects happening behind the scenes here are Red Cabbage house, Franklin find a Home project (preorder available here until Aug 4th 2025 PREORDER HERE and available from bookstores from mid August) I was a little slow posting. For that I apologise, though I’m sure you will all be happy with what I have going on. My fingers are a little tired and sore with tiny stitch knitting. So what have I made for you all recently?
This is the story of a wee unnamed lassie who was really keen to be a mini clone of the big Lavender. They had watched big Lavender come to life whilst living in the Pool of Life and really, really loved their style and personality.
They are the second froglet back in the lavender/lilac row (3rd row from the right).
Here she is eager to get on with the business of arms and legs. Not surprisingly seeing how small the Pool of life has gotten. So few original tadpoles left.
With one arm she was asking for snacks, with two she was a happy dancing froglet.
Big Lavender had a shirt and a shawl and I rather enjoyed recreating her clothes in miniature and in the alpaca yarn rather than acrylic. I changed out the clasp on the shawl to make it a bit more individual and I can’t find decent smaller straw hats. First two pics are of big Lavender. Like big Lavender, little clone enjoys reading and journaling and was sent off to her new home in the US with books, notepad and pen.
Mini Lavender arrived in the US safely and was gifted and her given name is Polly, not Molly like previously reported, sorry Polly. I think she looks happy in her new home.

They are considered collectibles, are unsuitable for under 14s due to the wires, are not CE/UKCA tested (collectibles do not need to be), and are therefore priced as such. Also contact me here if you fancy something you see or don’t see, I’m open to suggestions. I do have ME/CFS and photographing them etc all takes a lot of energy and is a very slow process. I do knit to order too, but be aware a froglet with a jumper takes up to a week for me to make on average. The smaller they are the longer they take as they are more intricate and fiddly.
