Hello you lovely people,
December was actually quite busy.
The bottom three pics are the before. Gone is the white. It amazing the joy I get out of the one piece of wallpaper. Decorator has been finishing my hallway for me. This was a last minute addition to the plan and it worked so well. That radiator cover will be dark blue too eventually. The hallway now ties in with the stairs and landing and I love it. Iām already planning the next thing for my decorator to do. Kitchen or downstairs shower room. Not sure which yet.

The Knitted Ones of the month. Kristen Fox with mushroom jumper, ginger kitten for the dragon suit, a finished Mercury in his fabulous jacket, a Franklin in his new home, Peregrine and Lannar two bards. And lastly Robyn and Noel who were finished over the Xmas days.

I went out for a single ball of wool and came back with said ball of wool and this beauty.
Oscar Ook and a couple of friends helped put up the tree.

We came home one day and I was greeted by this wonderful view.
New yarn. So squishy. Really looking forward to making something for me eventually. Iām going to make a different fairisle cardigan first to get me eye in so I donāt muck up with very expensive yarn.

Seems silly but I actually made the bed up properly for the first time in months. Yay, go me!
So the first photo is of the colours I thought Iād ordered, the second is of the colours I actually ordered - the dangers of having too many tabs open whilst trying to work out what I wanted. I have started with 27 rows of rib. Itās quite nice yarn, a bit thick and thin so it will cover some mistakes and variation of tension well. I nearly had a disaster by pulling a whole bunch of stitches off the needle. After panicking got them back on and all the right way round when I promptly did it again. Swearing did occur. 𤬠Then right when I had finished alāthe ribbing I realised I had cast on the wrong amount of stitches and had to frog it all and start again. Grrrr.

The only pic I took on Xmas day. I decided to try to experience everything without technology, being present in myself. This was later on and is my youngest with āhisā cat - itās really that he is her human, she chose him over everyone in the house. And so when he lay on the floor that was her opportunity to claim him again.
Rās hair is learning about āhat hair, we chopped it short again this year after heād had it long for 7.
I wonder what happened in April? Oh my that would have been R being just a little bit poorly
.
A photo I accidentally took, but rather like.
And with that, I wish you a Happy New Year. Thatās it for December and for 2025. Iām very much looking forward to the returning light and maybe a better year in 2026.
Till January, T x
