Hello you all,
And are looking forward to the new year to come. It’s been a busy month here, taken slowly.
This is week 4 frog. For some reason despite the fact I have done very, very little cabling in my life I decided to try it on 2 mm needles. It was tricky but turned out okay I think.
My name in actual physical print appeared this month. It is a very surreal experience and it doesn’t seem like it’s me.
I searched the garden for signs of spring. It seems the previous occupants did not plant daffodils, primroses, hellebores etc. I need to rectify that.
We had to travel to Telford, Shropshire to look after MIL whilst SIL gallivanted to Venice. We stayed in a Travelodge in Telford the night before. One of the nicest views I’ve ever had from a Travelodge. And it was quiet.
New seats at the rugby to accommodate a wheelchair. Not a bad view and sheltered from the rain.
These cheeky chappies happened. Yellow frog got arms and an attitude. Newt did a photo shot for his debut on Etsy and Little Rabbit found herself trying on beads as a bracelet. She actually went for a plain sparkly pink in the end. Well, it is her favourite colour. And yellow frog (week 5 frog) turned into sunflower frog. Week 6 and week 7 frogs were also finished and awaiting dressing. I’m only a week behind now and hope to catch up next month.
¿ Hmm, what to say about this? This scene greeted me in the bathroom. I had been in beforehand and noticed the toilet roll was almost out and took it upon myself to find the new roll in the cupboard and set it ready for the next user. And this was what I was greeted with. Hmm. The culprit has been chastised. It is simple adulting.
We took the 2nd wheelchair to Bolton Abbey. It was nicely wheelchair friendly. My fav photos is the shadow of the fence. I do take a lot of pictures of old doors.
We have had an interloper these past few days. He belongs to the house diagonally below us but has worked out how to get into our garden. The girls don’t mind him too much. The chickens he has at his house are all full sized, ours are bantams as is he. Sized wise they are well matched.
Last day of Feb, and it was glorious. We went up onto the moor.
So that’s it for February. The earth continues to turn and time passes by at its usual reckless pace, it will soon be time to post again. Hopefully a few more flower photos next month.
Till then, T x
If you have enjoyed my ramblings I’d love for you to click the ❤️. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know there’s something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.
Love it!!! Omg cabling is FABULOUS— your skill is astounding to me, whose great aunt finished her 9th grade knitting project (a tuque) rather than see her suffer more only to fail…
