Hello you lovely people,
Well July was hot, very hot at times, but an enjoyable month.
The most exciting thing to happen this month was the production of a story book I have been working on with NJ Simat 🤍 all about a little kindred frog finding his home. I am so grateful to NJ for being the leading light in this process and the work she has done is fantastic. The book is available to preorder here.

Along side making a book I’ve been keeping up with frog production, I need to liberate those tadpoles from the Pool of Life. These little wonders made their way into the world this month. Erica is a very scientific frog and loves playing with test tubes etc. she has her own little lanyard and is available for adoption. Sparkle frog is Agnetha (said Anyetta) and a disco diva, Pink frog isFlorian is a folk/prog rock musician.

Cricket in early July presented one of the wonkiest cricket pitches I could remember seeing. The pictures really don’t do it justice. We lost.

These calves stopped by for a nosy.

The kidults made ice to keep the water cool. Biggest ice cube I’ve ever seen!

These beautiful sweet peas from the garden brightened my day.
I put a lot of pressure on my needles when knitting small things, these are my 2 mm needles. I don’t hold them conventionally and these ones bend really easily. Anything above 2.5mm I don’t seem to bend. Wooden or bamboo ones I break right up to 4mm. I am considering fibre glass ones or maybe I need titanium. I’ve bent both aluminium AND stainless steel.

A lovely lady sent me some knitting goodies, so grateful and feeling loved. Forcing myself to finish the projects I’m on before I drive in, but the itch is real.

The light was just amazing on this evening.
I thought I’d ordered A4 🤦🏼♀️ now I need to chop it in half! And it was hard to find, no where nearby stocked 120 gsm. So I ordered this with express delivery. Doh!
Last few pics. I went to see Travis, again, yes I know. But hey. And I got myself a new T shirt or 2. Yes, I may have a problem 🤪, I spent a long time saying I wouldn’t visit the merch stall, but it was right behind me, calling to me, insistently. I had to pass by the stand on the way to the toilet as well. I resisted twice, third time I was not so lucky. 😅 I loved the colours of the set too.

So that’s it for July. Soon the nights will begin to draw in a little and summer will be over. I’m off to Scotland for a week now. Wish me luck with the mozzies (biting insects).
Till then, T x
If you have enjoyed my ramblings I’d love for you to click the ❤️. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know there’s something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.

Knitted animals and cute baby cows?!? I can always count on you to bring joy to my inbox! Have you ever made any knitted cows?
Typo: "Florian is a Folk/Prog (Progressive) Rock guitarist" (missing K off Folk, and added the expansion of Progressive for those that don't know what Prog Rock is).
