Hello you all,
May has certainly bern a better month than April. R is very much on the mend and my hyper vigilance has eased greatly. Flowers have abounded, froglets born.
The clematis bloomed. Yet again another year of a magnificent display. The wonderful weather we have been having really helping.
I have had to cook a bit whilst R recovers, I really don’t like it at all. It robs me of my energy and it takes a long time to recover. I was quite proud of this though. It was meant to be tuna gougere (spelling wrong sorry) made with choux pastry. First the pastry didn’t work properly with gluten free flour, and then there was no tuna in the cupboard so I had to wing it. So a chicken and bacon sauce instead. I was quite pleased it turned out okay, hence the pic.
I got a toad commission in, and made this little jumper first, the opposite way round to normal. Then the toad set off on its journey to Scotland to live.
This is my craft cupboard and I blutac up cards when I receive them. The Miffy one is the latest.
The tadpole pool of life has about half its occupants left. These two were chosen to be next. Cecil the actor, and River-Willow the potential artist..
The bathroom art exhibition gained just one new exhibit this month. A pot that had had paint in washed out and drying on the sink edge. The paint brushes resting in the sink.
I am trying to restart the journaling habit I had for decades from early teenage days to a point when life with 3 little kids became too overwhelming. I’ve managed a couple of days. I like to write in ink.
We got a couple of extra tickets for the rugby, and the two younger adults decided to come with us. I sent the youngest to sit with R and middle child and I were together. I go in my wheelchair in order to save energy walking etc. I still slept for the next 2 days to recover. I was quite a boring match though we did snatch a win in the last 2 mins - that was a little exciting. I don’t often like pics of me but I don’t look too bad in this one. I also love this view between the stands. The higgledy rooftops and the green, especially the green.
The garden is finally getting more colour.
More knitting and a little crochet. Newt found a new home, River-Willow and Star are also waiting for their brother, then off to their new home. I made a dress without froglet to go in it. Gregory is a botanist and loves climbing. And I made more blankets that the froglets get wrapped in for their journeys.
So that’s it for May. Still the earth continues to turn and time passes by at its usual reckless pace, it will soon be time to post again.
Till then, T x

Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.
