Hello you all,
Life has been a tad slow this month, when isn’t it really, but here we go.
This month I finally finished a ‘one of each colour’ pool of tadpoles. The task of arms and legs is slow going though, it’s not as interesting and slightly ‘boring’, I know I shouldn’t say that but … 68 arms and legs, and 34 jumpers/cardigans - Ugh.
After last months ‘pencil in the bathroom’, this month we have ‘paintbrush on the sink’. The pencil was there for a long time until I borrowed it for the photo a couple down.
It’s been a slower month and I’ve not managed to get out and about too much, but the view from the house is fab.
As I wasn’t managing knitting so much I turned to hand sewing tiny, tiny stitches into wool felt. Delores needed a new coat.
And Bernard wanted one too.
First snow fall of the year
I also finally managed to get a curtain made for this window on the landing at the top of the stairs. It needs a bit of fiddling with at the top (another day for that). I bought the rail 6 months ago and the fabric 5. Eventually I get stuff done. Now for the big window at the other end of the hall and some bedroom curtains to make.
Ah, waiting mode. After 15+ years of ME/CFS I’ve re-engaged with NHS services after losing half my base line to COVID. Probably means I have Long COVID too, as I also have had persistent breathing and coughing issues for a year now. I was ready and waiting for the call to begin for a good hour and a bit before hand.
The light over the valley and into the living room is often amazing, I’m trying to capture it. These are my favourites.
The tree is up. A slow mission due to the ME. It went up a while ago, one of the adult kids rearranged the branches. I’ve removed the lights from their box and checked they work, but not yet had energy to put them on the tree. But then that means I get to take a pic for next month.
So that’s it for November. And now we head into the darkest days, but also the beginning of the return of the light. Christmas is a quiet affair here. See you on the other side.
Tamsin x
If you have enjoyed my ramblings I’d love for you to click the ❤️. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know there’s something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.
34 frogs!!! I’m still working on the one I started in 2022. It’s sitting in a project bag waiting for two front legs. 🐸
I so enjoy reading and seeing the picture of your creations. I also have M.E. have a slow life. I love the fact I can see beauty in your slow life which makes it easier for me to see the beauty in my own. I like the variety that you write and post about. I am also a maker but a very very slow one at the moment. I have had an OT for a while and have found them very helpful. please keep posting the whole range that you do. It brings me joy, helps me feel I am not alone. and often puts a smile on my face. Thank you.
