Hello you all,
Life has been a tad slow this month but here we go. This is coming to your slightly early as I have a special post schedules for the 31st.
At the beginning of the month we had a near catastrophe when I sat on a frog and had to proceed with emergency frog CPR. It’s a little different than human CPR as you do it from the sides in order to refluff the stuffing. I am pleased to say, Froggy survived his ordeal and is now writing about his trauma to get closure.
We picked up a new wheelchair for me. I need to write a whole new post about this. It’s rather snazzy and is all set to have an electric assist added to it so I can zoom faster than R can walk.
These tiny stitches still amaze me. They are so small! I’m not quite sure how I manage them but somehow it seems to all come together. This turned into a sloth.
We had the patio mostly relaid this month as it was a tad dangerous with lose flags especially on the edge. It was the first time we’d jet washed the flags since we’d moved in and I suspect they hadn’t been done for a good while before either. They were multi coloured! The ‘boys’, the workman, then proceeded to cover everything with a fine layer of dust whilst removing all the loose flags. I think the end result looks quite good though and is infinitely less dangerous.
Patio fixed and regrouted When you have creatives in the family pencils find themselves scattered all over the place.
The set of six spice themed frogs were finished and are up for adoption in my Etsy shop.
I also experimented with little bee themed costumes.
Well, this was an eye opener. R was having some serious issues with his sister, via email, and this was the result of the general stress it caused on my heart rate. This is the Visible app. Trying to support him, and composing a ‘nice’ email in my head to try to explain to her that what we do here is none of her business and he is doing the very best he can in the circumstances given. I am still not recovered from this, and get easily boosted back onto over exertion. As a person with ME this is not good - my goal pace points allocation is 10, I topped out at 77 when I took off the monitor as I was so disheartened.
We went to see Chicago. Fabulous.
What a glorious contrast! Blue and yellow complimentary colours. Nature on a made made item. A simple joy.
So that’s it for October. Boy does the year go by quickly! Let’s see what the next month brings.
Tamsin x
If you have enjoyed my ramblings I’d love for you to click the ❤️. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know there’s something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.
I think the electric assist add ons are such a brilliant feature! Let us know how you get on. And oh those frogs 💚😍 x
oh that's definitely a pencil that i used to stir paint at some point XD
