Hello you lovely people,
Well September was wet at times with some great downpours. It went by fairly quietly as I was proactively resting for much of it.
Whilst making mini books at the end of last month I had a brainwave and I made a copy of mine and NJ Simatโs full sized book; available here and at all good book stores. The mini one is being sent out with some froglets etc depending on their hobbies and โageโ.
September is my birthday month and I got these lovely stocks from my sister.
Hubby bought me a rugby shirt with my favourite players name and number on the back, and I was lucky enough to be able to have it signed by most of the team. Iโve worked out most of the signatures, but not all.
I cut this dying leaf off one of my many house plants. The colours are lovely.
We had our bedroom decorated. Rather indulgent I felt as we havenโt decorated the rest of the house yet, but sometimes you do stuff for you not for others. The first pic is from the online ad for the house, the next three pics are from when we first moved in. Pale yellow on the walls and a pinky red on the wallpaper. Not bad colours but the wallpaper was faded where the previous owners had mirrors etc. The curtains were silk but very frayed and faded and they didnโt draw across properly, the blind didnโt work well either. The previous owners style was Rococo and painted furniture, a very valid style but not my style at all. The after pics are just wonderful in my view. Iโve used that yellow in two houses now and love it, itโs also in our dining room. R โchoseโ the wallpaper and he says itโs โokayโ. Of course he is understating it as itโs sublime. We have a proper black out blind now, and proper curtains. Iโm still considering whether they will stay, they are a little short as they were porch curtains in the previous house, made from tapestry fabric picked up in a charity shop in Welshpool for a ridiculously cheap price. I do have spare fabric to lengthen them if wanted but need to work that one out. They arenโt perfect but they arenโt bad either. Also the chandelier type light fitting went as I donโt like them, I find them a little ostentatious but it fitted the Rococo theme. We now have a simple glass shade. I am rather pleased with the cupboard, a last minute thought that worked well I feel.

We also had some work done in the living room, there was damp damage from a now fixed leak behind the TV and I took the opportunity to have the whole section repainted. It was an almost black Farrow and Ball paint, but it marked so easily and Iโm nothing if not the wife of a true Yorkshire man so I wasnโt going to fork out for F&B and went for a close match at B&Q. Itโs a bit greener but still similar. It looks fab all clean and mark free. First pic is the estate agents pic, then before, then after, then after and with everything back in its place. As you can see not much difference at all. When the sun hit the F&B it shone green, this paint is green even without the sun.

Itโs been a busy month for Knitted Ones. A big crash means I sit on the sofa bored and so knit more. First there was Little Anna, the smallest of tadpoles. Then Kitty a gardener both off to the USA. Then Maude a horticulturist, and Maisy another smaller tadpole, similar but not quite the same - I like to make them all a little different. Badger got an upgrade with boots and new dungarees. Flora also fancied dungarees so it was a dungarees month. Pooh bear and piglet and a wee kitten in a frog costume.

I started making little part rooms, so I can make better scenarios for the Knitted Ones. I think I will enjoy making these. They are deliberately tall so I donโt have to worry about a ceiling and the light can flood in.

This was our trip to the quarter finals of the rugby league playoffs. Taken when the ground was almost empty as we also end up arriving ultra early. They lost. Enough said.
I decided for some lost on me reason to start sorting out my craft cupboard and taking apart all of the stitch markers, etc that Iโd made over the years for selling on Etsy. I donโt sell on there anymore and I really need to consolidate what I do have. Whatever Iโve deconstructed is available for free to anyone who wants it (just pay postage), otherwise Iโll send it to the charity shops at the end of October.

So thatโs it for September, I didnโt take many pics other than Knitted Ones or Knitted Ones accessories. Roll on October, crunchy leaves, fallen acorns, and crisp chill days.
Till then, T x
