Hello Red Cabbage Head readers,
Over at
the lovely was looking at recipe poems, giving us a wonderful example. Our prompt was to write one ourselves. I’ve cheated as I’d already written one around the time of the American inauguration. I’ve been busy with frog legs, submissions, and sleeping from overdoing it.So anyhoo, here it is.
Recipe for New Life Take one new human soul and add … A splattering of magnanimity A sprinkling of tenderness A handful of gentleness A smidgen of kindness A soupçon of empathy A pinch of humanity A speck of patience A twist of integrity A taste of humility A snip of decency A dash of grace A touch of love And so much heart, don’t forget the heart. Sprinkle liberally, definitely Liberally, Set aside to marinade and grow in size, Release to the world and allow to do good. (Disclaimer, missing out an ingredient could have a disastrous result, like a Tory or a tRumpist)

Oh the final surprise at the end. I was all, "ohhhh, this is gonna taste so sweet" and lost in the moment and then I actually laughed out loud. You know how much I love a surprise?! Brilliant.
Love this!!! I have also been hugely distracted, unable to write or post what’s in the recently-done-drawer, while decluttering, listing, showing my current home — but I got one on the Manifesting Day, waiting for our offer to be presented! It was accepted! Not sure I will return to regular posting or writing as now I am physically and emotionally depleted by last-visit entertaining and pack-up! But it felt soooooooo good to write something that gave me several hours of intense pleasure and actually got printed.
