Hello Red Cabbage Head readers,
Once upon a time in Undergradland when I was young, lithe, healthy, and had even more hair, there was a time when I thought I was funny. Yes, indeedy! Tis true. My witty repartee was the envy of … well let’s be honest here … probably no-one. I suspect that groans were more the order of the day than titters. However, blissful of my lack of comedic ability I attempted to write what I thought were seriously funny poems. (Even now some people say I am capable of writing funny text - I beg to differ most of the time.) Anyhoo, yes I said anyhoo, I’ve been saying it for years and years, way before someone else on TikTok said it. In fact they probably got it from me, cos what am I if not a trend setter? 😜😁😂
So anyhoo, I wrote a poem about the idiom the pen is mightier than the sword, and I honestly thought it was incredibly funny and such a novel 🤦🏼♀️🤪 concept. No one could possibly have thought of this before. Oh dear, the arrogance of youth.
They say . . .
They say,
‘The pen is mightier than the sword’.
Is this because
the pen produces the word
and if you deprive
the sword of its initial
only the word is left?
So there, a poem presented as comedy 🤦🏼♀️. Let me know what you think.
That’s all folks, til next time. Tx

It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know there’s something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.
This is my beagles name, I chose it because of the meaning
