Dear Knitting Cabbage Heads,
Christmas is rapidly encroaching and Iโm not godly, but prefer Yuletide, so the Yuletide tree is up.
Ook was the ideal partner again this year and brought with him, Fawn, an as yet unnamed froglet, and Freddy Fox with him this year. Last yearโs fox is in their new home and hopefully learned the lessons of how to dress a tree well. They all waited with impatience whilst the box was delivered by R from the lofty, dusty loft. Whilst Oscar and Fawn examined the tree the other two went to play with the decorations.

I was having a very tiring day, and this year I have very much struggled to find the Xmas spirit so Oscar started assembling the tree all by himself, whilst no uttering under his breathe about the unfairness of it all. R helped a lot too making beautifully perfectly symmetrical branches. I almost gave up after the first three branches and wanted to stop there and have a very avant-guard display this year but Oscar over rode me.

He made it all the way to the top.

Lounging around in the tree was needed next, basking in his natural habitat and his fantastic ability to work wonders.

Then we needed to test the lights. They had been carefully packed away last year but Ook soon had them muddled up. Wearing them didnโt help. But the checks were completed and operation Decorate the Tree commenced.
Ook of course had his own ideas where and how these should hang.

And then the decorating spree began, I struggled to keep up with everything going on, placing my own baubles, watching R, and supervising Ook, but I did manage to capture Ook putting on his favourite one. This year not a single bubble was broken, an absolute miracle.
Ook has now taken up residence in the tree, just like he did last year, he seems right at home and unwilling to move. 3 days later he is still there.

So thatโs it for now. Until next time my dears. Tx

Froglets๐ธ, other animals๐๐ฆ๐ฆก๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆฅ๐ฆงetc, and other miniatures are (or will be) available from me on here (message me). They are considered collectibles, are unsuitable for under 14s due to the wires, are not CE/UKCA tested (collectibles do not need to be), and are therefore priced as such. Also contact me here if you fancy something you see or donโt see, Iโm open to suggestions. I do have ME/CFS and photographing them etc all takes a lot of energy and is a very slow process. I do knit to order too, but be aware a froglet with a jumper takes around 3 to 4 days for me to make on average. The smaller they are the longer they take as they are more intricate and fiddly. Thank you muchly.
If you have enjoyed my ramblings Iโd love for you to click the โค๏ธ. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know thereโs something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad ๐. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more ๐ A comment of what you liked, what you didnโt etc would be most gratefully appreciated.

Hi - I loved the yule tree story and having holiday fun with friends! I would like to get one of your creations as a gift but not sure how to arrange that. Please let me know, take care of yourself and all your little creatures, and keep posting when you can!
A bit tiring, Tamsin, just reading your post!! The decorating of the Yule Tree, and getting the carefully wound and stored lights into a tangle? Has my name all over it!
