Dear knitting people,
(I have been using patterns by Claire Garland @Dot Pebbles Knit) for most of these little animals. She has a fab Instagram account.)
I am away at the moment having a wee break from home for ‘mi birfdee’ as us heathens say. I’m a wee bit older, a wee bit wiser, and lot more exhausted. So I’ve been saving these pics just for you and for a time such as this when I am away from the yarn and needles, and the gang.
The two rabbits went a wandering a little while ago, a sort of getting to know you expedition. The white rabbit is called Delores and the brown I’m not sure yet maybe Kenneth? Though I had an Uncle Ken once and he was a bit odd in a non creepy but undefinable way that 7 year olds pick up on. Hmm. I might have come up with something by the time I’ve finished writing this.
So first of all Delores and a brown rabbit had a bit of a tête-à-tête about where to go.
The weather was lovely so they decided topopped out into the garden for a gentle meander. Brown rabbit found a beautiful sweet pea flower and Deleores loved the smell. They saved it for later.
Delores found a very strange statue at the edge of the paving and decided to climb it despite not being well equipped (yes she has asked me for proper equipment for next time, especially after I had words and made her take a health and safety course afterwards.😴)
Brown rabbit wasn’t sure I was certainly a tall and odd thing, and a fall could be hard.
Despite this Delores decided to go for it. It was tough but she gave it her best and Brown rabbit tried to keep up to help. Here she is almost at the very top.
Triumphant she sat atop of the monument and Brown rabbit just worried about eh descent.
They both made the return journey safely and Brown rabbit found another flower to give Delores as celebration.
And they were home in time for tea! No pics cos I forgot that bit.
So that’s me signing off for now, till next time. If you have any suggestions for photo opportunities for the tribe, or any ideas for other animals you’d like to see let me know below. I do post small snippets on Notes reasonably often if you want more regular updates.
If you have enjoyed my ramblings I’d love for you to click the ❤️. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know there’s something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TAM!!!
What can I say? The SHOES! The BOOTS! Brown Rabbit's selection of crocosmia - the perfect shade to match BOTH of their outfits. Absolutely gorgeous.
The first and last pics are just so cute. Happy birthday, Tam! 💛
