(I have been using patterns by Claire Garland from Dot Pebbles Knit for most of these little animals. She has a fab Instagram account. Shoes are sadly not made by me but from various sellers on Etsy and I may be trying to learn how to do it myself eventually. Anyway enough of the preamble.)
Dear Knitting Cabbage Heads, Christmas is rapidly encroaching and Iâm not godly, but prefer Yuletide, so the Yuletide tree is up. Ook seemed the ideal partner this year, though I was surprised when R decided to help too, a rare occurrence. Ook very quickly made himself at home, whilst Foxy went to find the new ornaments weâd bought before the boxes were down.

First we needed to test the lights. They had been carefully packed away last year but Ook some had them muddled up. Wearing them didnât help. But the checks were completed and operation Decorate the Tree commenced.
Ook decide the first thing to go on should be the topper, a simple Father Xmas hat (no Santa in this house) hand made by yours truly.
Lights next. Ook of course had his own ideas where and how these should hang.
And then the decorating spree began, I struggled to keep up with everything going on, placing my own baubles, watching R, and supervising Ook, but I did manage to capture Ook putting on his favourite one. Only one bauble was broken in the process, and that was by me, so thatâs not bad.
Ook has now taken up residence in the tree, he seems right at home and unwilling to move.

The others are now a little jealous and are demanding a tree of their own so I suspect thatâs the next task. They are a little bit demanding these mini creatures. đ
So thatâs it for now. Until next time my dears. Tx
Frogletsđ¸, other animalsđđŚđŚĄđđđŚđŚđŚĽđڧetc, and other miniatures are (or will be) available from me on here (message me). They are considered collectibles, are unsuitable for under 14s due to the wires, are not CE/UKCA tested (collectibles do not need to be), and are therefore priced as such. Also contact me here if you fancy something you see or donât see, Iâm open to suggestions. I do have ME/CFS and photographing them etc all takes a lot of energy and is a very slow process. I do knit to order too, but be aware a froglet with a jumper takes around 3 to 4 days for me to make on average. The smaller they are the longer they take as they are more intricate and fiddly. Thank you muchly.
If you have enjoyed my ramblings Iâd love for you to click the â¤ď¸. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know thereâs something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad đ. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more đ A comment of what you liked, what you didnât etc would be most gratefully appreciated.
love this! She isn't handmade but I have a little orangutan called Bumi, and she would enjoy hanging out in our christmas tree and getting into mischief. and also seeing the pictures of ook, and seeing what he gets up to.
It's a fair cop.
Love, R.
