Dear Knitting Cabbage Heads,
Once upon a knitting pattern the lovely Claire Garland released a different rabbit pattern. Now I happen to love the initial rabbit pattern and I was a little perturbed to think of my darlings being ousted. The pattern was gangly and odd looking. I bought the pattern as I tend to do (Claireβs prices are always incredibly affordable), expecting it to languish for a very long time and never be knitted.
I made Long Quinn from the pattern first and he went off to live in the US. And then came a commission for another. This one needed patchwork in some way if possible. This started small again, this is the head on my little finger.

I spent a lot of knitting time thinking about patchwork and what that could look like. On such tiny needles, 1.75mm, it was going to be tricky. And in thinking I forgot to take as many pics as normal. I decided to knit up all the pieces first before attaching anything to the body. Which I made up and forgot to photograph.

I got slightly macabre and imagine it as a deconstructed piece waiting for putting together. Waiting for bones to be inserted.

After having struggled with the arms for Long Quinn - brain fog moment - I decided to go for legs first. Yellow boots had already been chosen so that was an easy decision. As usual the froglets looked on in envy. One day little froglets one day.

I worked hard on getting the fingers neat, I think Iβm becoming a little better.

And so the arms were ready, and this time I didnβt have any issues fixing them. So nice when my brain works.

Harley says hi!
Harley needed colourful clothing, with an aspect of patchwork so β¦

And then patchwork trousers. I think they work out fairly well.

Harley is off along with Matilda Mouse to the UK.

So thatβs all folks. Till next time, Tx

FrogletsπΈ, other animalsππ¦π¦‘πππ¦π¦π¦₯π¦§etc, and other miniatures are (or will be) available from me on here (message me). You can also find them at My Website. They are considered collectibles, are unsuitable for under 14s due to the wires, are not CE/UKCA tested (collectibles do not need to be), and are therefore priced as such. Also contact me here if you fancy something you see or donβt see, Iβm always open to suggestions. I do have ME/CFS and making and photographing them etc all takes a lot of energy and is a very slow process. I do knit to order too, but be aware a froglet with a jumper takes up to a week for me to make on average. The smaller they are the longer they take as they are more intricate and fiddly. Thank you muchly.
If you have enjoyed my ramblings Iβd love for you to click the β€οΈ. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know thereβs something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad π. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more π A comment of what you liked, what you didnβt etc would be most gratefully appreciated.

I seem to be stalking you LOL! I have this pattern if this is a Dot Pebbles. I havenβt made it yet and keep thinking I will knit the first in a heavier yarn just to frustrate myself less. I have Frog and quite a few of her patterns.
Sigh* I need to wade in and do this. π€¨
Oh good I love knitting
