I seem to be stalking you LOL! I have this pattern if this is a Dot Pebbles. I haven’t made it yet and keep thinking I will knit the first in a heavier yarn just to frustrate myself less. I have Frog and quite a few of her patterns.

Sigh* I need to wade in and do this. 🀨

Stalk away, I love chatting with people. I’ve done the frogs in bigger yarn, I don’t find them as whimsical. I’ve made the other rabbit pattern in three different sizes, 2mm, 2.5mm, and 2.75mm needles. All with the same 4 ply yarn. Just took out the merino extra yarn for the smallest, that worked well. I also altered the arms on the brown one, made them a little longer, and shortened the ears on the baby. So my advice is just dive in. Do it!

Maybe I will start with the rabbity person. The arms and legs are what have deterred me. (I hate I-cord) but if I get a frog or rabbit I will bear with it. Also you really need to wire them I guess. That means ordering stuff I can’t touch first as there are no shopping options close to me. Wherever you are have a lovely day! It is subzero here and the wind is blowing like a mad thing.

I can recommend decent wire is you want. I used to hate cord to but I’ve realised over the many frogs I’ve made that I don’t need to pull so hard on the yarn, and I roll it into a tube shape as I’m working, that’s helps a lot. The long rabbit has less icord, most of the legs are knitted flat, just the calves are icord, but you could forego that it you wanted. The arms and ears are icord though. The fingers and wiring them are the trickiest bit. I’m here to help at any point.

It’s dank and gloomy and yuck here (Yorkshire UK) but luckily the wind is lacking. I find the noise it makes not so good. Where are you?

Help is always welcome!!! I lived in northern central Maine US ( aka Circus town and I never did like 🀑) We are in the middle of a bitterly cold winter this year. I was walking several miles a week but I now just use my recumbent bike and small elliptical. It is too cold to be out there.

Knitting and crocheting and books are the way to go lol.

Oh good I love knitting

This is the kind of lovely creativity I hoped to find on Substack. I love seeing and reading about the process as much as the finished guy. I may post pics of some of my creations if I ever figure out how.

I would love to see your creativity - by the way I think you subscribed to my non knitting Substack The Shadow Mirror. 3 Red Cabbage Heads is the knitting one.

I have added it. Still can't figure out how to post : (

Do you want to do a note or a post - short or long form? And what type of device are you using? Phone, iPad etc?

Goonda's avatar

So I've posted a couple pics and posts? Notes? Via the orange + But my profile shows them in Activity but says I have zero posts. ??? I'm beginning to not like Substack

Tamsin πŸ‚ 🐸 πŸͺž's avatar

That’s because they aren’t posts, they are notes - that’s a bit like the feed on Facebook. Stick with it, once you get used to it, it’s fun.

Notes show under activity but not posts.

Goonda's avatar

Oh, good! Thanks so much for your help!

I'm using an android phone. Just short with a photo. I've tried thru the app and now on the website. Substack is no kind of intuitive 😿

Tamsin πŸ‚ 🐸 πŸͺž's avatar

So I’m on an iPad, so it may be slightly different but roughly the same. Find the orange plus button. It’s on the right hand side at the bottom for me. Press that and it should ask you if you want to do a note or a post. Click note. Click the pic button in the posting area to select a picture. I’ll try to find some pics to help later (just about to have dinner)

I think you cracked the code for me 😸

Ah, I can’t photos in comments under posts. See if those help at all.
