I really liked "Nearly", especially your personification of your 'brain' and your 'wit'; but I thought "City" worked as well. Although you based it on your experience living in Manchester, it immediately brought back my memories of going into New York City in the mid/late 1980s, especially in the evenings. Ugh!
I think it's why I haven't really been back to NYC since like the mid-1990s, when I was traveling for my job with the US government. All of my kids have been in the last several years and they all swear it's a totally different city these days. Maybe, one day, I'll go back and see.
Yeah, but not, sort of, 2 were rubbish and should be in the bin so don’t count, 1 is mediocre and only one decent ish. And without the prompts I probably wouldn’t have written anything. So all kudos to Neth Kempton for providing to prompts.
Nah, I'm still giving you credit for four attempts! I haven't even tried in so long. Jeannine Ouellette had a nice exercise with erasure poems today, and I just might try that. Maybe you'd like it?
„Nearly” is my favourite 🤩
Mine too, actually smacks of poetry. The others, just words thrown together.

I have wondered about visiting NYC one day but a,ways been wary because it’s a city basically. I’m glad you liked City too.
It’s tough doing these quick prompts.
You wrote four poems, which puts you ahead of me. And most of the rest of humanity. Good on you.

Oo, yea that’s sounds good I’ve never made one of those.
