I really like this, especially the line: "I realise I’m surprised that anyone has ever felt at home enough in this world, to know that they no longer do."
I like prose poetry when I read it, but I do have a hard time knowing how to write it. I tend to use fairly plain language, which I tend to associate with prose (which seems wrong, because I've read a ton of lyrical prose for sure).
I’m listening to “Dear Writer” by @Maggie Smith right now, and she just had a section on prose poetry that was really illuminating for me. I’m eager to get a physical copy because I’d like to study it more (because I’m still confused, but more intrigued than ever).
It’s really good so far. It’s full of examples using her own work, so I feel like I’m watching (hearing) the process unfold more clearly. I really like examples.
Thanks for the warning about the film. That title would have gotten my attention as well.
It had such promise as a title too!
I find that to be a common problem with television. Great titles but not much actual content.

I will check it out
I’m still confused, to be honest.

This is lovely, Tamsin. Hope all’s well. xxx
Could be better but could be much worse. Lots of angsty late night poetry written though.
Awwww, sending every good wish! Sorry for emergency and angstiness - and fantastic that you’re writing through it. xxx
