Hoorah! What great run of publication :) You absolutely are a poet btw, regardless of how many pieces get accepted. Great description of brain fog - time passes in snatches is a stand out line.

As an aside when I first saw your email I thought I was about to read a poem called "I do not like the Frog". An animal/poeting combo is due I think!

lol. I didn’t like the frog I was knitting yesterday it simply would not comply on the needles and was unceremoniously ’frogged’ (yes that’s the term for undoing knitting or crochet - you may know this already) twice before I gave up.

I know absolutely nothing about any kind of wool based activity (apart from wearing jumpers). I am glad to have learned this :). Hope your cough goes away soon!

I admit to giggling as frogged this errant froglet. The best wool based activity, imho, is wearing beautiful jumpers.

Congratulations on your publications!!! You are already a poet and that's all there is to it :).

I love these lines:

"I cannot be. Cannot do. Cannot think.

Anything. I am blank.

Like a vast clean sheet of paper

But unable to be written on."

This is a lovely poem. Congratulations on your acceptances, and you have permission (if you need it) to call yourself a poet.🎉🎊☀️

Thank you Charla. I’m getting used to saying it. I sort of feel 10 might be a magic number when I might even capitalise the word. 😁

Is it bragging though? Just read a note about blocking people who talk about numbers of subscribers, is this like that? Should I not mention it? I’m not looking for congratulations but connection. Do I wreck that connection by mentioning I’ve been accepted?

Brag away, I think it's way different to those posts that brag about their subscribers etc. You're rightly proud of your achievements and you have every right to brag! Although for the record, I didn't see it as a brag, just someone who's pleased that their poetry is being noticed and telling people about it... That's perfectly OK. I'm genuinely pleased for you!

Thank you. Far too much imposter syndrome here.

NO!!! This is News, and of value to those of us who have been kindly told we should submit, but can’t quite get up the effort. Or perhaps, the gumption! I probably won’t, ever, but I admire the effort and love to hear of success for someone whose work I admire. Well Done, You!
