I like how these are all from a list of very simple summer prompts, but they came out *so* differently. I can feel "Rain tinged warming breezes" very clearly.
I LOVE how the grass leads into a piece of a story. This is beautiful:
I’ve been researching haiku, and sometimes I like the 575 (which actually isn’t necessary) and sometimes I want to concentrate on the 1st and 3rd lines being able to stand as a separate identity, and sometimes I want the 2nd line to punch a different view, this time I just wanted flowing thoughts without any restrictions. I could very possibly rework it into a haiku with more work, and probably will just for the hell/fun of it.
A Short Summer Love is particularly evocative. Thanks for sharing these!
You are welcome, thanks for subscribing too ☺️

I LOVE how the grass leads into a piece of a story. This is beautiful:
"this short short grass, remind me of
the long grasses of then, waving above us,
uncut, seeding now, drifting fronds"
This ending hits soft but hard at the same time:
"saw you turn from my view
declare your autonomy
and lowered my lens"
Thank you Margaret, that’s what I was trying to do, not make generic summer poems.
Yes! I like this about them too. My favourite, hmm, I can’t resist the second one, it’s that grass for me ❤️
Ooh, I like the second one in particular 🙂 - and I 'wanted' the first one to be an haiku.
I like 5-7-5, which I find gives me enough rhythm and structure without being too restrictive . And I like its challenge too x

Sometimes it's fun to swap the first and third lines too 😁
Here you go
Rain tinged breezes
abating morning hay-fever
Bountiful gardens.
Yes, this is fun too
I love these!! That second one is my favourite I think, it’s so gorgeous and sensual.
Thank you very much ☺️😁.
