Dear knitting people,
(I have been using patterns by Claire Garland @Dot Pebbles Knit) for most of these little animals. She has a fab Instagram account.)
This is Dolly. A sweet chicken with loads of added tail feathers (extra to the pattern) as I keep real life Pekins and love their pompom tails. So extra feathers and pulling the tail a lot higher too. The legs are fun but not terribly functional. More work needed there and the beak too, but I am looking forward to making a full flock. So white rabbit, now named Delores, immediately loved Dolly and sat on her back and gave her a cuddle.

Then most of the gang decided to go on a small adventure into the garden. Frog and Toad took the first ride and Foxy, Brown Rabbit and Delores scrambled along.

A good shady time was had, however Foxy wanted a bit more adventurous fun and so they went off to find something harder.

After all that work, Delores fancied something quieter and so off they went in search of flowers. Foxy’s turn for a ride. Toad found a rose for frog. It was almost as large as him. And a jolly good time was had by all.

I hope you have enjoyed this photo story of the gangs next adventure; most are yet to have proper names so all suggestions welcome.
So that’s me signing off for now, till next time. If you have any suggestions for photo opportunities for the tribe, or any ideas for other animals you’d like to see let me know below. I do post updates on Notes more regularly if you want more regular updates.
If you have enjoyed my ramblings I’d love for you to click the ❤️. It pleases the social algorithm, lets others know there’s something interesting here, as well as letting me know you liked it and giving me a little virtual hug. Without virtual hugs I have been know to get sad 😜. Shares are good too and a comment buoys me up even more 😁 A comment of what you liked, what you didn’t etc would be most gratefully appreciated.
I found you through poetry, and I'm not a knitter, but I love love love these posts. I love these things you've created and how you photograph and write about them. I love crafting with words, but I also want to create something like these! You are inspiring me.
Good for you - I think I need a similar hobby. 🙂
