I took a group of British Asian ladies to this museum about ten years ago. Their fathers had been invited to come to the UK to work in the mills after WW11. Very few working mills now remain in the Bradford area and it was lovely to see their reactions to how their fathers used to work. Actually my favourite exhibits were the terraced houses furnished in different time periods. The later ones, from the 1950s onwards, were still very familiar to me. A great nostalgic day out.

I didn’t have the energy to do the houses on the same day, but intend to go back for them.

Thank you, I need to go back to the museum as it has houses all decked out Victorian style and we didn’t do those. Well worth a trip.
